I can't believe it I am actually writing this blog entry, but my book the Miracle Maker is going to be published. *** JUMPING FOR JOY AND OVERCOME BY FITS OF HYSTERICAL LAUGHTER ***
I just found out March 30. I was so shocked I fell off the couch, and then I started running around yelling, "Oh my gosh, Oh my gosh, Oh my gosh." I scared my husband to death as I ran through our bedroom so early in the morning. He wondered which one of our children had cut off what appendage. Happily relived both that we don't have an emergency room visit, and that the book will be published, we are both enjoying the good hews.
For any of you who are scouting blogs like I do to see the process, let me just say that this has been in the works for a number of years. Thanks to a great critique group at the Northewest ANWA retreat I was able to revise it and then send it to a few places for some great comments, but rejections none the less.
Finally after seven months at the publishing company I got that email that made me sing and dance. I always wondered what that moment felt like. The one when someone says "yes" to that thing you've been dreaming of for years. Surreal at this point, but exciting. I can't stop grinning.Hopefully, as I start to work more on this project and especially when I can hold it in my hands I'll be albe to stop checking the notice over and over to see if I read it wrong.
Thanks to all of the people who taught me so much on the road here, and I look forward to all those who will teach me so much more in the coming months.
